Snapback vs Fitted Hat Sizes
One-size snapbacks vs fixed fitted fractions (7 1/4)—plus how Flexfit ranges differ.
A snapback adjusts with a plastic strap and usually fits about 22–24 inches (56–61 cm) heads.
A fitted cap has no strap—you buy a fixed US fraction such as 7 1/4 or 7 3/8 from a fitted hat size chart.

Fitted caps use fixed sizes matched to head circumference. Unlike snapbacks, there is no strap—measure first, then pick the closest fraction.

Typical snapback size range
Most standard adult snapbacks comfortably fit:
22 inches to 24 inches
or
56 cm to 61 cm
Roughly fitted 7 to 7 3/4. Outside that range, choose a true fitted size.
How to adjust a snapback
1. Start in the middle
Most straps have about 7 pegs—start near the middle (3rd or 4th hole).
2. Put it on
Sit above the eyebrows and ears—snug enough to stay on, not tight enough to leave a mark.
3. Fine-tune
Move out one peg if tight, in one peg if loose.
